Due to popular demand here are the three videos I've been refering to. The first two are the non-jew lip syncing and the last one is the David Lavon one:

Jihad Over!

Well it appears the Jihad against The Chevra is over! Apparently our grass roots campaign paid off! Over shabbos I got the following e-mail from the lip-syncing Chevra kid:

The same people that contacted me earlier contacted me again today saying i could put my videos back up! OMG!! THIS IS AWESOME!!... Anyways, they will be back up soon and all my videos are under "cidiem" on video.google.com -Michael

I just got the following BS answer from the chevra (I love how everything was written in caps except my name):

Jihad on The Chevra!

This is it folks, we are officially declaring jihad on The Chevra. In case you don’t follow the whole video.google.com thing earlier this month there were three chevra themed videos posted. Two of which were of this non-Jewish kid who lip synced to both L’cha and Y’hei. The third was a full music video of L’cha made by a yeshiva kid named David Lavon. Needless to say all three were hilarious and were probably giving The Chevra more exposure then they have ever had before to a whole new audience.  Well this past week the videos all came down. Apparently The Chevra threatened to sue for copyright infringement.  I would like to urge all loyal Dani’s Rant readers to send The Chevra your hate-mail.  Their e-mail address is thechevra@thechevra.com.  Also check out the guestbook on their website and leave them nice messages there too.  Be sure to point out that they are no talent little pieces of poop and that the only reason you’d ever consider buying one of their CDs is because of the videos and that now you know that they aren’t about the music and spreading yidishkit but just about making money.

p.s. If you haven’t seen any of the videos let me know and I’d be glad to e-mail you copies as I was able to download them before they were taken down. You’ll need google video player in order to watch them.

p.p.s. My sister informed that the David Lavon video has gone back up. Still please send The Chevra your hate until the two videos of the non-Jewish kid lip-syncing go back up too!

Side Rants

-Dani got screwed good in the Brandeis housing lottery. #763 out of 800+.  Here’s hoping for a pull-in.

-On vacation this week. Not much of one given my work load.

-Went on an overnight this past weekend with my boy scout troop. Isn’t it cute when little kids mix up the word niggun with a racial slur?
