All Side Rants!!!

Nothing big to write about so time for an all Side Rants edition of Dani's Rant!!! (after all people tell me that's the best part.)

Side Rants

-Starting this week I'm all alone at the Beth El office so come visit. I'm there between 9:30 and 1:30 and Wednesday there is a bris so there may be leftover food to be had!

-I had my first run to Krispy Kreme since being back in the US tonight. Rumor had been that they lost their Hasgacha but it was right there handwritten on a paper napkin! (sarcasm for those who can't tell. Only in Boston do people fuss over the validity of a hechsher on KK cuz Bostonians, unlike New Yorkers, like the doughnuts pork filled! (more sarcasm))

-I'm too sarcastic. Tonight I actually convinced some friends that I didn't know where the phrase "melts in your mouth not in your hand" comes from. And they wouldn't believe me when I said I was being sarcastic!

-valuable prizes for anyone who can tell me what the phrase "I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts" means. My friends think I made it up.

-I've decided I need a younger brother to torment Shif. After watching Gila's brothers at work this afternoon I decided that I need someone like them to keep Shif in line while I'm away.

-Best game ever!!! New link on the right-------------------------------------> www.iSketch.net. It's essentially an online game of pictionary but it's so addictive! Look for me playing. My screen name is danib62.

-The blogger composition editor sucks!!!

-Going to Chicago next Shabbos so don't come looking for me.

-One more thing that's bugging me and I know I'm gonna get flack for it but a lot of people share my opinon on this but feel to bad to say it: my blog isn't your bulletin board. If you have something important you want to share you can e-mail it to me and I can decide to include it in a future post. I find it rude to post comments that have nothing to do with the post that it is commenting on and just has something the poster wants to get out to the world. Also just for future reference: I don't pray specificly for cholim I don't know. If I were to start doing this I would be davening 24/7. These people are covered by when I say Kol Cholei Yisroel. Many other people share this practice with me.

-Oh and happy birthday Hyim. I got you a new post for your birthday cuz I know how much you love reading this!

Sorry, I seem to be getting that from a lot of people. I kinda freaked out as soon as I found out about my friend and was trying to get as many people as possible to daven for her- though posting on random people's blogs probably wasn't most efficient. Heck, I posted on total strangers' blogs besides those of people I know!

And no, you don't need a younger brother to torment Shifra, though if you insist I can send Yerachmiel out there. How bout a trade- she comes here, he goes to you?

Hyim, happy birthday from us in Albany.

"I'll bet you dollars to donuts" is a phrase used when you're absolutely convinced that the position you're taking is the right one.

"I'm so sure that I'm right I'm willing to make a bet with you about it. if you're right, I'll pay you cash money. If I'm right, you only need to give me baked goods."

It's not as funny done out all longhand like that...

I was reading your blog (I rarely remember to, no offense) and I clicked on that isketch link. FUN! I made myself HDK123. Yay! Something else to waste time with!

Okay, I think I insulted isketch, because now it's not working...

dollars to donoughts is from the movie "state fair", which you and your neanderthalithic, not to mention, obviously uncultured friends, have assuredly never seen. Yes, I'm straight. Whats up Dani? Hows Boston?
